Among the many tour highlights is a four night stay at the Inari Wilderness Hotel deep in the Finnish countryside where Aurora Cabins offer a view to the northern sky - from your own cozy bed! a must for those wanting to experience a unique stay in Lapland.

On your cruise up the Norwegian coastline on a ship of the Hurtigruten Line there are multiple opportunities to see Aurora Borealis, and plenty of other exciting activities along the way.

 


 

DAY 1 –  27 SEPTEMBER 
 Depart Perth bound for Oslo

DAY 2 - 28 SEPTEMBER 
 
On arrival in Oslo transfer to your hotel, The Clarion the Hub, a modern hotel ideally situated in the city.

 

DAY 3 – 29 SEPTEMBER
Today enjoy a privately guided city-sightseeing tour which will take you to the heart of Oslo it will include the history of Oslo up until the present day. Some of the highlights include: Exploring different areas and architecture styles from the 1600s to the beautiful ornate buildings of the 1800s. Walking past the functionalist style City Hall, the site of the annual Nobel Peace Prize ceremony each December – if there is time, you can go in and enjoy the art and sense of history within, Visiting the baroque style Oslo Cathedral from 1697, Exploring the old industrial area which has now transformed into a very modern district with Oslo’s distinctive Opera house (built in 2008) and the new Munch Museum opening in 2020,  Visiting the exterior of the old fortress from 1299 for a wonderful view of Oslo, including the ski center with a ski jumping hill, Exploring some new “green” neighborhoods with
planted roofs (including plants, trees, even beehives), newly planted streets, and buildings made of recyclable materials. After all, Oslo is the ‘European Green Capital’ for 2019! (BREAKFAST

DAY 4 & 5 – 30 SEPTEMBER & 01 OCTOBER -
Today head off on what is known as Norway in a Nutshell, a trip that takes you through some of Norway's most beautiful fjord scenery. You can experience the scenic Bergen Railway, the breathtaking Flam Railway, the Aurlandsfjord, the narrow Nærøyfjord.
Included are a Train from Oslo-Myrdal , The Flam Railway Myrdal-Flam, Fjord cruise Flam-Gudvangen,  Bus Gudvangen - Voss and Train Voss-Bergen, also included are two nights in Flam. This is Fjord Norway at its most magnificent – a place of tranquility. Peering out over the fjord you can see fish leaping, boats small and large coming and going, and eager kayakers paddling the sheltered waters. Inside, you have the warm glow of pine walls and views of the surrounding scenery (BREAKFAST)

DAY 6 - 02 OCTOBER –
On arrival in Bergen make your way to your hotel situated in a traditional pack house that dates back to 1904. The dignified old building opened as a hotel in 1987, and had major renovations done in both 2009 and 2014. A stay at Clarion Hotel Admiral is the perfect starting point for Bergen’s unique city life; shopping, concerts, theatre and dining (BREAKFAST)

DAY 7 – 03 OCTOBER 
 Today enjoy sightseeing tour around Bergen with your private guide.  Take a short walk around the charming indoor Fish Market, then stroll around Bryggen – the medieval UNESCO World Heritage Site consisting of the old Hanseatic wharf and buildings – and the cobblestone alleyways near the harbor and Bergen Fortress area with one of the oldest and best-preserved fortresses in Norway, then the Town Square and City Park. (BREAKFAST)

DAY 8 – 04 OCTOBER  This morning board your Hurtigruten MS Finnmarken cruise to Kirkenes  (BREAKFAST,  LUNCH , DINNER ) 

DAY 9 – 05 OCTOBER  Floror – Molde    ( BREAKFAST, LUNCH , DINNER )

DAY 10 – 06 OCTOBER – Kristiansund – Rørvik ( BREAKFAST, LUNCH , DINNER )

Day 11 – 07 OCTOBER - Brønnøysund – Svolvær  ( BREAKFAST, LUNCH , DINNER )

DAY 12 – 08 OCTOBER - Stokmarknes – Skjervøy ( BREAKFAST, LUNCH , DINNER )

DAY 13 – 09 OCTOBER - Øksfjord – Berlevåg ( BREAKFAST, LUNCH , DINNER )

 

DAY 14 – 10 OCTOBER 
On arrival in Kirkenes you will be transfered to your accommodation at the Snow Hotel Norway, which opened for the first time in 2006 with 8 rooms, and a small ice bar. Today it is one of the most famous igloo hotels in Norway, and in the world. The hotel is built completely of snow and ice, and each spring melts back into the fjord. Idyllically placed, with the forest and mountains at the back, and the arctic fjord in front. The cabins are inspired by the traditional hunting and fishing huts, “gamme”, that you find in the wilderness in the Sami areas of the Arctic.  ( BREAKFAST ) 

DAY 15 – 11 OCTOBER 
 
this morning you will be transferred to Inari for a 4-night stay at the Inari Wilderness Hotel where you can immerse yourself in Finnish wilderness and culture.  Accommodation is in Aurora Cabins, s pacious cabin with a view to the sky - from your own cozy bed! With a premium view onto Lake Inari and the northern sky, your spacious Aurora Cabins are a must for those wanting to experience a unique stay in Lapland. The glass thermal roof ensures that the window will stay clear even in the lowest temperatures, and the warmth and amenities of the cabin will ensure you the most comfortable aurora observing experience on offer. Each cabin offers a private bathroom, bedding under a glass dome and a sofa or armchair. ( BREAKFAST & DINNER ) 

DAY 16 – 12 OCTOBER 
 
following breakfast head out on a tour to Inari including a visit to the  Siida Museum.  This evening learn about Sami Culture during a Lappish dinner at your hotel - This evenings dinner activity is one of a kind in Inari region. You will be presented interesting views for Sámi culture, from a real Sámi person, dressed in traditional costume. During this evening, you will enjoy traditional Lappish foods and delicacies. ( BREAKFAST & DINNER )

DAY 17 – 13 OCTOBER
Today enjoy a very special visit to a husky farm where you will meet arctic sled dogs. Every dog has a special story, which the musher will be happy to share with you. You may get lucky and the energetic huskies will take you on a ride into the wilderness. Listen carefully to the driving instruction and be a real musher for once in your life! After the ride, learn more about the huskies and enjoy a hot drink in a Lappish teepee! After the visit, you will be taken you back to your accommodation in Inari.  ( BREAKFAST & DINNER )

DAY 18 – 14 OCTOBER 
 Following breakfast enjoy a hike into the woods. In Autumn the nature is full of beautiful colors and curious animals. Your guide will tell you interesting facts about Finnish nature and if you have a bit of luck with you, maybe you’ll see some reindeer. We will have lunch by the open fire during the trip.  ( BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER )

DAY 19 – 15 OCTOBER 
 Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before transferring to Rovaniemi the capital of Lapland. Almost totally destroyed during World War II, today it’s a modern city known for being the official home town of Santa Claus, and for viewing the Northern Lights. Arctic Light Hotel ( BREAKFAST ) 

DAY 20– 16 OCTOBER
Relax today and enjoy some free time. Rovaniemi is home to Arktikum, a museum and science center exploring the Arctic region and the history of Finnish Lapland, and the Science Centre, Pilke which features interactive exhibits on northern forests.   Use your free time to visit one of these or possibly as it is the official Hometown of Santa Claus choose to visit the village, whatever you decide be prepared for an unforgettable experience. DAY 21 – 17 OCTOBER
Today you will be transferred to the railway station for your departure by train to Helsinki. On arrival in Helsinki you will make your own way from the railway station to your hotel which is located close by.  Hotel Fabian, ( BREAKFAST )

DAY 22 – 18 OCTOBER 
 
Today enjoy a City Sightseeing and Urban Nature tour, wherever one stays in Helsinki, seaside and the surrounding woods are never far away. Due to its location by the sea, Helsinki is often called as the Daughter of the Baltic Sea. The city has over 150 km of shoreline and there are over 300 islands and islets in front of it. As such, it allows urban nature experience almost in the middle of the city. Finnish people have strong relationship with nature and Helsinki provides outdoor living to its full potential - even if it was only a comfortable stroll in the forest. Besides being introduced to Helsinki’s most important sights during the tour you will also experience one of the many natural getaways which are popular among the local people.   Note: This is a walking tour, tram will be used on some parts of the tour. DAY 23 – 19 OCTOBER – Following breakfast you will be transfers to Helsinki Airport. ( BREAKFAST )

DAY 24 – 20 OCTOBER – Arrive home

 

 

BOOKING CONDITIONS 

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
A non-refundable deposit of  $2000.00 per person together with a signed booking form is required at the time of booking.
Deposits are non transferable and non refundable.
Final payment is  required  on or before  10 June 2020
Credit card payments attract a merchant fee.

PRICES
All Prices are subject to change and must be recalculated at the time of final payment.  West Coast Cruise and Travel Service will re-invoice for any unpaid retrospective increases in air taxes or increases caused by currency fluctuations.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If cancelled on or prior to 10 June 2020  a cancellation fee of the $2000.00 deposit applies.
If cancelled on or after 10 June 2020  the cancellation penalty is  100% of tour cost. Travel insurance for cancellation protection  is strongly recommended. No refunds can be given to any passenger who joins the tour after its commencement, or for early departure from the tour.
Refunds are not available for any meals, accommodation or excursions not partaken during the tour.
No refund is given where pre-booked accommodation  is partially or wholly unused. No overseas supplier or associate is authorised to promise a refund on behalf of West Coast Cruise and Travel Centre

TOUR BROCHURE
Every care has been taken to ensure that the contents of this brochure are correct and  accurate at the time of printing, however  some details may have changed since the brochure was published. Please check this with your consultant prior to departure. All possible effort will be made to adhere to the published touring itinerary. Occasionally circumstances beyond our control will force changes, amendments or modifications to the itinerary and its inclusions. West Coast Cruise and Travel Centre cannot be held responsible for any omissions or modifications to the itinerary or the inclusions made as a consequence of  these changes. 

FORCEMAJEURE
If the tour can not proceed due to flood, earthquake, war or civil strife, acts of terrorism, hurricane, cyclone, industrial disturbance, strike, fire, lock out, epidemic, failure or delays of scheduled transportation facilities, or other Acts of God, or any law, order, decree, rule or regulation of any government authority or for any reason whether of a similar or dissimilar nature beyond the control of West Coast Cruise and Travel Centre, this agreement shall terminate and there shall be no claim for damages by either party against the other. 

TRAVEL INSURANCE
It is a condition of travel that each passenger is adequately covered by a proper insurance cover. Please also check the contingencies of your prospective insurance cover and ensure you are aware of its conditions and omissions. We strongly advise travel insurance from time of booking to provide full cover. In the event that Travel insurance is arranged independently a copy of the travel insurance policy is required at the time of final payment

GUARANTEED GROUP DEPARTURES
The Group program offered in this brochure are group touring programs.  The term ‘group tour’ is defined as having a minimum of  10 and a maximum of 20 passengers travelling. Once West Coast Cruise and Travel Centre confirms 10 deposited passengers travelling, it guarantees that the group tour will depart. In the event of only 9 passengers or less book and travel on that specific departure we are unable to operate that departure as a group tour and that departure will be withdrawn or offered at a revised cost. . In rare instances such as this, West Coast Cruise and Travel Centre guarantees to advise all parties concerned of the withdrawal of the tour at least 60 days prior to its scheduled departure date. 

UNSUITABILITY
If the operators consider any passenger as an unsuitable person for any tour it may in its absolute discretion cancel that passenger’s booking or decline to carry that passenger further, if at all.

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE
Unless otherwise indicated we have not included Visas, Tips,  or  items of a personal nature such as , laundry, drinks and  consumables.

COMPLAINTS
a) In the unlikely event of a complaint, the client is obliged to make West Coast Cruise and Travel Centre and the local supplier aware of such problems immediately.

b) West Coast Cruise and Travel Centre will only consider claims made against it in those circumstances where a complaint has been made pursuant to sub paragraph (a) above and where the claim has been received by it within 30 days from the end of the services provided by it, otherwise, the client will have no right to make any claim against it.

RESPONSIBILITIES
West Coast Cruise and Travel Centre acts only as a booking agent making reservations with the companies or associates offering the services contained in this brochure. Whilst acting in good faith, West Coast Cruise and Travel Centre does not accept any responsibility for default causing loss or injury to person or property whether by negligence or otherwise on the part of the operator or accommodation managers/owners or its employees. West Coast Cruise and Travel Centre has made every effort to ensure the quality of accommodation and the accuracy of the brochure but shall not be liable for any dissatisfaction the passenger may have with the accommodation and touring or any injury, damage or loss caused by the change or withdrawal of any price, detail or other item or service. In addition, West Coast Cruise and Travel Centre shall not be held responsible for any loss of quality of goods or services supplied or any changes in an itinerary beyond our control made by third parties. This agreement shall be governed and controlled in accordance with the laws of Western Australia.
