Set sail from Fremantle on an adventure of a lifetime, Leisurely days at sea interspersed with a combination of exciting and exotic destinations will tempt both the most seasoned and novice travellers. Highlights of this trip include Manila, capital of the Philippines. This city was founded in 1571 and evidence of its Spanish origin can still been seen. The bustling market place in the old Quiapo district offers an array of handicrafts, beautiful fabrics and antiques.

Next your Japanese adventure begins. Okinawa Island is surrounded by emerald green water. Step back in time and visit the historical Shuri Castle. A full day in Tokyo allows for plenty of time to visit the Japanese Capital, a city which perfectly blends both modern and traditional cultures. Shimizu is one of Japan’s most beautiful ports with majestic Mt Fuji as a backdrop. Late March is the beginning of the Cherry blossom season which should see Osaka shrouded in blooms.

An overnight stay in Osaka will enable you to take an optional tour to Kyoto which is around an hour’s drive. Kyoto is a city of profound history and rich in tradition and represents the soul of Japan. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were both sites of atomic bombing. A visit to Peace Park and the Atomic Bomb Museum are both very moving and unforgettable experiences. The story of Madam Butterfly was also created in Nagasaki.

After our stay in Japan it’s time to move onto China. Shanghai is a lively metropolis which is in stark contrast to the surrounding countryside. Zhujiajiao Water Village is about an hour’s drive away. Small rivers with willow trees planted on both sides gently crisscross the town. Spanning the rivers are stone bridges.

A trip to the Far East wouldn’t be complete without visiting Hong Kong. This city is unique from its back lane market places to cosmopolitan shopping centres,and outlying Islands providing so many ways to spend the day.
