The sound of pick axe on flint and the hammer of the battery ram has long since passed but as you step back to a previous century, you’ll be transported from the history of early gold mining to today’s superpit era. Over six great days we’ll take you from old diggings with histories of success and failure to quaint, outback pubs run by locals with more than a story to tell. You’ll be guided on tours to historic mine sites and museums with plenty of interesting machinery to explore. And what’s more, because this is an escorted tour, you won’t need to fossic for meals – we’ve included them all. This is an extremely popular tour so avoid disappointment, be quick to book your seats on either of our 2012 departures!
